Tests Like the Rice Purity Test

A fandom checklist, a trait profile and a personality-type quiz offer different ways to reflect. Choose by what you want to explore, what the questions cover and where your answers go.

This comparison is for adults. We checked the publishers’ public pages on October 26, 2026; we did not submit personal answers, complete paid assessments or audit their network traffic. The entries are grouped by purpose, without a ranking.

Which kind of alternative do you want?

Three external options with different subjects
OptionFormat and lengthAudience and contentMain difference
Unofficial AO3 Purity Test200 numbered checklist items in the inspected version.Explicit sexual and violent topics; adult-content option.Fandom tags and story conventions rather than the classic life-experience list.
Big Five at bigfive-test.com120 statements; five traits and 30 facets.General personality topics; publisher describes it as made for adults.Describes tendencies using multiple dimensions.
16PersonalitiesStatement questionnaire; item count not verified in the accessible test page.Personality topics; operator requires at least 16 and applicable local consent age.Returns a personality type with descriptive material.

These tools do not share a scale. A trait score, a type label and a checklist total cannot be converted into one another.

For a fandom checklist: Unofficial AO3 Purity Test

The Purity Test Maker AO3 page presents 200 items and checkbox inputs. It is explicitly labelled unofficial and includes adult content. We verified the visible list, rather than its scoring behavior.

Data handling: a separate privacy policy was not verified for this quiz. We cannot describe its answers as browser-only or promise that its result links are private. AO3’s own policies do not automatically apply to a quiz hosted elsewhere.

Read our AO3 test explanation before comparing a fandom result with the classic test.

For a trait profile: Big Five at bigfive-test.com

The Big Five test uses 120 statements, advertises about ten minutes and requires no sign-up. Its method page identifies the IPIP-NEO-120 questionnaire. You rate descriptions of yourself and receive five trait dimensions with 30 facets, rather than a purity total.

Audience: the publisher’s educator information describes the test as made for adults, while its policy says it is not directed at children under 13. We list it here for adult self-reflection.

Data handling: its privacy policy says answers are stored with a random result identifier and other test information. No sign-up does not mean answers stay on your device. Check the current policy and sharing controls before sending a result link.

For a personality-type description: 16Personalities

16Personalities’ free test returns one of sixteen personality types with an additional variant, according to its terms. It offers free test results and separate paid products. The accessible public test page did not expose a complete item list, so we do not state a verified question count.

Audience: the operator requires users to be at least 16, with any higher relevant consent-age requirement also applying. Its terms describe the products as personal information and entertainment tools.

Data handling: the privacy policy describes processing test responses and technical visit information, including IP addresses. Accounts and public-profile settings add separate sharing considerations. Treat this as an external service with its own practices.

If you want to play with a partner

You may want a new interaction rather than a different questionnaire. Our couples page lets adults compare voluntarily shared totals from the same classic version. It does not turn the difference into a compatibility score.

If the original test’s mature topics are the reason you want an alternative, preview the new questions before starting. A different name, cheerful design or “innocence” label does not establish that a quiz is suitable for children.

Compare the experience, not the numbers

Ask what you want from the activity: a conversation about experiences, a fandom reference or a description of everyday tendencies. Then check the questionnaire and result format. An interesting answer is more useful than forcing different scores into a single ranking.

Read a service’s policy before entering sensitive information. Keep any comparison voluntary, and share only the summary you intend another person to see. None of the entries here should be used to judge someone’s worth or to establish relationship quality.
